Project development:Content and storyboard 1

A) Introduction
1. The word “ Earth”
(peaceful music ,bird chipping, flower blossoming)

2. The words "Quakes"
(tremor, bird flew off, everything fell apart)

3. " Disaster can hit at  any time  any place  anyone."

4. You can't Predict,
  But  | YOU  |   CAN |  PREPARE

B)What to do during an earthquake?

 A Drop, cover hold on
1. DROP: DROP down onto your hands and knees
2. COVER: COVER your head and neck
3.HOLD ON!:HOLD ON to your shelter


B. Indoor
i. In bed
-hold on and stay there,
-protecting your head with a pillow.

ii.  In a high-risebuilding
-Avoid windows ,cupboard and heavy stuff.


C. Walking OUTDOORS :
AVOID  trees, buildings, electrical wires and poles.

D. DRIVING
-Pull over to the side of the road,
-Avoid overpasses, bridges, power lines.
-stop,  set the parking brake.
-Stay inside the vehicle until the shaking is over.

E. Near the shore
-If severe shaking lasts above 20 seconds or more,
 immediately evacuate to high ground as a tsunami might have been generated by the earthquake.  
(show clock moving 20 s)

-Move inland 3 kilometers (2 miles) or to land that is at least 30 meters (100 feet) above sea level Immediately
